When will the chickens begin their travels?
When will the chickens return?
How will we know where the chickens have been?
Will the traveling chickens make us sick?
Should we raise our own chickens and make them stay home?
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

I am so upset about the chickens!

Reptiles were on the earth long before any fowl life appeared.

And, since reptiles lay eggs, technically the egg indeed came before the chicken.

Ms. M, have you gotten into the whiskey tonight?

You're starting to sound like me in Nov-Dec.

I like chix parm

But do you like it without chix? Just the parm?

You're a freakin' genius! I haven't considered reptiles! And they say they taste like chicken! I think the eggs will be okay.

When will the chickens begin their travels? - Within a day or two of hatching

When will the chickens return? - They don't exactly return. Hatch to slaughter for a broiler is generally 45-65 days. Layers and breeders may go to slaughter after 2+ years

How will we know where the chickens have been? - The package only tells you so much. The plant number on the package will give you the address of the processor if you have a copy of the directory. That won't tell you where the chickens came from before they got to the processing plant

Will the traveling chickens make us sick? - Stay out of China (and parts of Mexico) and you should be fine

Should we raise our own chickens and make them stay home? - Home-raised chickens are more susceptible to environmental factors and are more exposed to wild bird illness transfer

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? - Another version of what Sea Six stated is that a chicken has to hatch from an egg. The first mutation that occurred to create a chicken happened during the fertilizing process and that offspring from two almost chickens resulted in an EGG that hatched and became a chicken. Therefore, the egg came first. I always hated that question.

I'm very concerned about the chickens.
We may never know which chickens went to c h i n a and returned and which chickens stayed here in the USA.

They are not required to have passports. They do not have to let us know when they leave this country to travel to another part of the world and then return.

I doubt the Chinese would let them back out of the country alive. If they are missing their feet, I would avoid that chicken, apparantly that's a delicacy over there and that chicken was able to escape.

Sea's pecker is so small he can't choke the chicken, he can only massage the McNugget.

You are probably correct. I bet it's only a matter of time before the mt dews are sent to china with the chickens.
