Katy Perry has the body she always prayed for, and for her, that's enough.

In a new interview with GQ magazine, the singer opened up about her childhood vision of the perfect body.

"I lay on my back one night and looked down at my feet, and I prayed to God. I said, 'God, will you please let me have boobs so big that I can't see my feet when I'm lying down?'" she said. "God answered my prayers [when I turned 11]. I had no clue they would fall into my armpits eventually."

Now, Perry, 29, is proud of her body, and she said that she's never had it surgically enhanced.

"Not a nose, not a chin, not a cheek, not a tit," she said. "So my messages of self-empowerment are truly coming from an au naturel product."

If she sounds confident, it's because she is. Perry, who has been dating John Mayer on and off for more than a year, is also secure in her relationship, especially coming out of their latest split.

"I think that I needed to grow up," she explained. "I'm just having a wonderful experience with a wonderful guy. There's no rush."

Since when is there a need to tiptoe around people who choose to get cosmetic surgery purely for cosmetic reasons? When somebody has a body that is natural and it offends somebody to point that out, no, she didn't get a bunch of work done, I say the person getting offended is way too thin skinned and probably just wants validation for work they did (or want to) get done.

Would it make you feel better if we made the petty people uglier to even things up a bit so the ugly people won't feel quite so disadvantaged?

We should really have a conversation about Appearance Inequity and how it is damaging the self esteem of millions of Americans. It just isn't fair that the 1% has much more beauty than they need, and some people don't have anything in that department. Rather than address the issue of making ugly people more attractive, we should consider making the pretty people find ways of hiding it.
