What is the plural of "state attorney general?"

Is it states attorneys general? Just heard it on FoxNews. Just sounds weird.

So if the AG's for FL, GA, and AL (for example) all came together and filed a suit jointly, they would in fact be referred to as "states Attorneys General".

However, if several AG's in one state alone filed a suit, then "state Attorneys General" would be proper.
