I'd never seen a '54 Kaiser before...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-180598_3.jpg

... or a Volkswagen Aquila... looks better than a Bradley GT...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173188_2.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173188_8.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1963-Volkswagen-Aquila.jpg

... or a '59 Dodge Pickup... I like the mock tailfins...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1959-Dodge-Sweptside.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173572_3.jpg

... but trucks are cool... I mean who doesn't want one of these...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1980-International-Fire-Truck.jpg

Looking for a short-bed?

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1999-Ford-Monster-Truck.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173498_2.jpg

Or a loooong-bed?

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1947-Ford-COE.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173758_2.jpg

What about a BIG-bed?

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1940-Dodge-Custom.jpg

Perhaps a stake bed...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1915-White-5-Ton.jpg

or one for the minimalists... a no-bed.

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1918-FWD-Model-B.jpg

But not all trucks are cool... are there really guys headed to Florida with this gem circled in their catalogs?

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1985-Ford-Ranger.jpg

You have to love auctions though, for sheer variety. They've got big cars...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1976-Cadillac-Castilian.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173236_2.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173236_3.jpg

... and small cars...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1969-Subaru-360-Microcar.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173185_3.jpg

... and whatever this is.

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1983-Lincoln-Quicksilver.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173583_3.jpg

Auctions can show us that three is a crowd... unless you're talking wheels...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1935-Morgan-Three-Wheeler.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1976-Trivette-MC.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173199_3.jpg

... But add wings and a propeller...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/2011-Avid-Magnum-Roadable-Aircraft.jpg

Sadly, auctions have a dark side... you'll see ways to ruin Volkswagens, like the Rim Job... sorry, that's Rib Jet...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1962-Volkswagen-Rib-Jet.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173483_6.jpg

... or the Beetestarotle...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1972-Volkswagen-Ferrari-Kit-Car.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173042_3.jpg

... ways to ruin Jaguars... like the Koenig Special... yeah, it's special alright...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/1982-Jaguar-XJS.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-172579_3.jpg

... and yes, even epic ways to ruin Corvettes... like the SV Motorsports SV9... yes, that's one more than those LLC guys' cartoon, the SV8...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/2009-Chevrolet-Corvette.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-173952_3.jpg

... or the laughable Corvette Stankray...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/2010-Chevrolet-Corvette.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-178729_7.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-178729_6.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/Gen%20II/FL0114-178729_2.jpg

They say "there's an ass for every seat", and good thing too, those last few seats are going to need total asses.

Saw that yesterday on Mecum's site. Thinking about driving down to see some of the stuff for sale.

I'll be there for most of the auction days -- I'll have to keep an eye out for the cars in Apex's OP. Some good stuff there.

I'm also looking forward to seeing some of Roger Judski's cars cross the block.

Some of those were kind of pretty, and I like that Ranger too. But I want the F-86H in the upper right here...

They didn't. It was a kit car built on a bug.

Ok, that makes sense. I was wondering why I hadn't at least heard about something like that.

I remember all kinds of weird custom creations utilizing the Thing chassis.
Those were pretty funky.
