I'm looking at a few cars for lease as it works best for my situation. I've only leased one other car (through our company) so I didn't negotiate it. I've seen a few lease deals (Lexus IS250 - I had heard not so positive comments on the 2013's), (Infiniti Q50 AWD Premium and G37 AWD limited).
The Q50's lease deal is $349 mo. for 39 mos (msrp 42455) with 10k a year.
G37 lease deal is $249 mo for 24 mos (msrp 46435) with 10k a year.
Both have $2999 due a lease sign (no sec deposit).
My questions are:
I'd heard someone say you can roll that $2999 into the total so you put nothing down out of pocket. True?
Can you still negotiate off that MSRP or is that deal, because its through Infiniti, the way it is with no changes.
You should be able to negotiate a lease with nothing out of pocket. Just sign your name and drive. You might need to come up with the first month's payment though. Don't expect the advertised monthly payment to be with zero down though.
Can't really analyze the leases without the residual percentage and the money factor. Usually you can roll overything into the lease except for the first payment and the sales/use tax on any incentives. However, some lease programs require a substantial downpayment in order to get a low money factor - the leasing company figures you're a better credit risk when you have significant skin in the game.
As a general rules, you never, ever, ever want to put money down on lease car. The logic has been discussed many times here and at the other place. The price of a car is always negotiable unless you're on an employee or supplier price plan.

So the $350 wonder lease you see (with $2999 down) would be roughly $440 (spreading it out over a 36 mo lease). My question is they base their $350 lease deal off MSRP... If I negotiate that MSRP down 2k does that mean I'm only rolling 1k into it for a sign and drive?
I understand the low/no money down aspect. You never see the "whole" deal on the internet ad. I'll shoot off a few emails to request the full breakdown.
You're not going to get the real deal until you're at the stealership, ready to drive home. If they have the model you want, figure out what you're willing to pay for it, then talk money. Negotiating a lease isn't much different than a purchase.

Yes, and yes.
There really is never a point to put money down on a lease, you're just throwing cash away.

Test drove both this afternoon. I was impressed with both the G and the Q...in handling, comfort and power. Even more so at the customer service. I asked for their best lease deal on both - hopefully I'll be impressed with those as well.
Keep in mind that what they come back with most likely will not be their "best". There should be lease formulas all over the internet, figure out what you are willing to pay, add in the money factor and see where that comes out to monthly. Don't forget the sales tax added on every month. Did you check out the Acura TL?

Havent checked out a TL lately. I found this site of leasees whove posted their deals...was pretty helpful. http://www.infinitiq50.org/forum/infiniti-q50-dealers-pricing/1018-official-lease-deal-thread-85.html
