The simplest movement cause your panic button to be pressed in your pocket when walking up stairs, but yet you hit the button out of your pocket nothing happens, I had to get in the car and start it to shut the damn alarm off. I'm sure neighbors loved hearing the horn blare at 1am for 15secs in the garage. Sound travels more than you think in a townhouse :issues:

Turn this into an opportunity to meet your neighbors, hopefully hotties.
Go to the ones that could possibly hear it, and apologize for the silence interruption.
I hear you though... I hate when that happens to me.

I don't know about your car(s), but my 98 Jag had an interesting panic button: If you accidentally hit it, the only thing that would silence the alarm was to put the key into the ignition switch. Nothing else worked, and none of this was in the owner's manual.
An earlier Jag (1986) had this feature: Alarms were kinda primitive then, and most had a hidden switch to turn them on/off. This car's switch was in the console storage bin, making it easy for a thief to find. Problem was, that wasn't the "real" switch. The console switch had its on/off positions reversed, so when the thief pushed the switch to off, it actually activated another alarm system. Now you had twice the noise and likely a big "WTF???" from the thief.
Better there than here! :seasix:

Yeah, on a rainy day I had my keys in my pocket, and went out to discover I had rolled my windows down, and opened the sunroof.

I left my roof open in the rain in my G8..
Sucked.. Had to wipe everything down, used the shop vac to suck up water, then towels to soak it up more, and then i threw a dehumidifier in the car for two nights straight while it was parked in the garage..:spdchk:
Never again. I'm paranoid about that shit now.
