Bert Lance, 82. Georgia banker who served as President Jimmy Carter's first budget director before departing amid an investigation of his banking activities. Aug. 15.

From my town. I remember going into the bank and him being there. Very notable family from my town. His son recently sold a black '64 Corvette that I have mentioned in other post. It as all apart and missing motor/trans. The shed it was located in still had a stack of political signs for Bert. Jimmy's son lived a few streets over from us when he was Pres. I still remember them flying into the local airport, and the security details around the neighborhood. I wish he hadn't turned out to be one of the worse presidents in history.
