I scanned the original. He was a mold maker at Falk Foundry. Over the next week I'll attempt a restoration with my mad Photoshop skills.

This is what I'm starting with. It is covered in carbon and scratches.

30's - 60's or so.

Milwaukee. He made massive sand molds for casting gears for cruise ships and aircraft carriers.

My grandfather wore his company ID everyday also. Every day after work he got in his truck and pulled it off and clipped it to the A/C vent of his '70 Chevy pickup.

In 1980 he retired. On his way home he clipped his badge to the vent as normal. He died in 1990 and the badge was still there. My aunt got the truck and it is in my uncle's shop right now. His badge is still clipped on the vent.
