When its still going to take a damn week?
I ordered a new Oil pressure switch for my truck, and a relay, and some crap, to do an OPS relay primer mod on my truck, I wanted it by the 27th, and I ordered early on the 23rd, figuring in for the holiday, it seemed fair...so I paid an extra 15 bucks to get it by the 27th....so, it didnt come. I checked the shipping info and it says it shipped on the 27th, and Ill have it by the 30th..a week after I ordered it. If Id just paid the ground rate, it would have been here at the same time....so stupid.

Cause if you want it in 2 days instead of the customary 5, you get it in two.
Idiot.

Vendor is Rockauto
Shipper is FedEx
Selected shipping was 2nd Day Express
i just submitted a heated email, simply wanting answers, and my billing changed to reflects that I recieved Standard ground, when I clearly paid for 2nd day express. I think I paid an additional 15 dollars, because I really needed the parts by the 27th.
Well, you paid for 2 day shipping, and you'll get 2 day shipping.
(Business days, not holidays or weekends).
Another trick in these shipping promos is the sellers actual shipping date from order placement.
Some will say ships within 2 business days (seems to be your situation),
or ships within 2-5 business days, or, orders received by 4pm GMT (wherever the fluck that is) ships next day.
So, Next day air shipment could be a week later. :kick:
It's a money making scheme.

Being it's Christmas time, I can understand it being late, BUT I would call and get my $15 back since it didn't make it on time.

Delivery dates are based on the date shipped, not the date ordered.
You ordered your items on the 23rd. They probably had an influx of orders to process for the holidays, so it's not reasonable to think they would process the order on the same day. Let's assume they were closed on the 24th and 25th. They would naturally process the order on the 26th or 27th. Hence, the 27th was your shipping date.

2nd Day Express: Order now and Receive by 12:27:13 (24.99)
NExt Day Air: Order now and receive by 12:26:13 (34.99)

Could be. A lot of businesses were closed on Monday and Tuesday, making the weekend a long one thru to Christmas Day. Even if they weren't closed, I would imagine that they had a lot of employees off.

Then it should have been reflected on their site. Very simple, if you cant deliver something, dont advertise and charge for it.

Yeah, I agree. If they put a received date out there during checkout, that's some bullshit.

RockAuto.com, and Ive never had any issues with them at all, and Im a frequent customer.
I suspect the shipping rates are based upon a pre-programmed software package that automatically plugs in delivery dates, but maybe didn't account for a mid-week holiday.

I had a problem where I ordered 2 day delivery from an e-cig vendor.
Problem is that it took them 5 days to fill the order.
:wtf:
Here's a pro tip for online shoppers. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are the best days to order online. Mondays are busy with weekend orders, so they may not get to your order until the next day. Friday orders are the worst, and may not go out until Monday or later. Many online retailers are working at least a day behind because unlike brick and mortar stores, orders come in 24/7, and often have order queues from the night before as soon as they open for business in the morning.

Give him a chance to make it right before you give negative feedback.

A few years back, I had a P/T job at a FEDEX shipping center.
Unbelievable is a mild way of saying how some people package stuff for shipping.
One night, a complete exhaust system (single 4 banger) came down the belt.
No packaging whatsover on it. Just the shipping label taped to the muffler.
About 7 ft long. I Slid it down the ramp to be put in a shipping container (the type that fit into a plane), lady stuffing the container raised the pipe up, muffler end at the top, and proceeded to lose her grip on the pipe, and it clocked her on the noggin. She sat out the rest of her shift (the slacker), but was back the next day.
