QFT. Remember earlier this year? Scrap metal truck makes bad call?

Watch how long the train rolls after the collision and derailment.

It actually stopped pretty quickly ( for the weight ). I counted 31 car lengths from impact to full stop.

Cars are at least 65 feet long. 2050 feet or almost a half mile. And it derailed, so that wasn't just brakes.

Respect the mass!

It is really sad when you see these and there were kids in the car. Had one a couple of years ago just down the road. Mother with two young children was running late :sadangel::sadangel::sadangel:

My buddy's ex (luckily ) had just dropped off the kid at the baby sitters when she crossed a set of RR tracks in Lansdale ,PA. Lights only, no gate. Due to sunglare, she didn't see the lights flashing and had the frontend of car smacked by the train. She smacked her head on something and was a bit dazed.

The entire fire department plus the train crew were looking for the kid she said was in the car. Luckily on of her coworkers ( who happened on the accident scene) knew that she had dropped him off and told the firechief who verified it.

Luckily that was the last accident there before they put gates there.
