Typically about $50. I use credit card for everything so I carry it mostly for those few occasions where I can't, or prefer not to, use the card.

I prefer to think of it as you sharing your wealth with me.
What time does it get dark in your neck of the woods?
And can you pick me up at the airport?
And drop me back off?

I hate thieves
It's not theft.
It's redistribution of wealth.
And can I borrow one of your wife's stockings? And a pair of gloves? And maybe some kind of cloth sack... like an empty flour bag, something like that... it would just really tie the whole outfit together.
Sorry, I'm not very good with thievery. I am SO not prepared.

Would it help if, instead of me taking it from you directly, I instead work with the Democrats to pass new legislation to obtain it through increased taxation?

Although back when I had a small crew working for me it wasn't unusual to carry $1k+ Not really that much if you're at a job site and have to pay for lunch for the guys, send one of them out to get supplies (not into company cards for near transients) and then cover payroll at the end of the day.
A grand barely covers it on those days.

Right now: $845.00 in wallett, $947.00 in front pocket. Tis the season, and I had soem things to pick up today.
Normally, I have 400-500 tucked away in my wallett, and pocket money in my pocket. Show me a golfer who doesn't carry at least a couple hundred on him, and I'll show you a puzzy who doesn't bet enough. :D

I take out $100 at the ATM, and when I am down to the last 20 (or know I need more) I take out another $100.
I also keep a $100 bill tucked away in the billfold...just in case.
I used it Friday, getting into a SuperBowl pool. Need to replenish tomorrow.

When I get cash from the ATM, my FastCash is set to $60 so that's usually what I get. I use my debit card or CC for most transactions. It is rare that I have over $100 in there, but when I travel I like to have plenty of cash on me.
