I was taught: Whisky on beer, never fear BUT beer on whisky, always risky.

Considering that you are heading for a momentous bout of drinking Tanduay Rhum should you be drinking beer or begining to season your system with something harder?

I think it's the other way around. Whiskey First, Beer Second. The logic being that if you are already drinking beer and switch to hard alcohol, you were already on your way to being drunk so it's easier to go overboard. Also, beer being less potent with more water actually hydrates you as well.

In all honesty, I have never paid that much attention to it, and never had much of a problem. As long as you aren't getting seriously tanked.

Good Luck on your Journey Dixie. :cert:

Amazing how nice people are here. I went to the help desk to ask how to get to the lounge and after they gave me directions, they gave me a gift. It is a nice looking keychain, not sure what it is made of but it was the thought of it was great.

This is a huge airport. I have 6 hours to sit here in lounge so not sure what to do. Just had my shower and will get massage shortly. Enjoying some chicken and lemongrass with mushroom fried rice. It is awesome.

On a side note, if you were to head to mainland, you'd find they weren't quite so friendly; particularly at the markets. They are very abrupt and pretty nasty at times, especially when it comes to hagglin'. :yesnod:

HK airport is like Rodeo drive without the stuck up Californians. If you smoke cigars Cubans are relativity inexpensive there. Also a good bottle of booze is easy to get as well.

Sooner or later the Jet lag will hit hard. Make sure you have someone in the lounge know you have an early flight. They will come wake you up if you ask them too.

I found the best way to beat Jet lag is power through it.

When he gets in get him to a place where he can take a long hot shower. The moist air re hydrates the lungs and nasal passages plus makes you feel better.

Then switch to cold until it hurts . Then spend the rest of the day trying to stay with local time. ( I found drinking always keeps me going.)

The next day let him crash around 3-4 PM for 1-2 hours. After that no more naps ( unless you are down at the beach drinking Rhum).

I envy Rob. I have never been to PI and look forward to getting there someday soon.

Well, without the support of the people here as well as my friends and family, we would not have been able to provide so much for those whom have lost.

I look to you guys with great appreciation and know that I am blessed to be a part of this endeavor. I have really witnessed an amazing amount of community here and how much each and everyone here has played a role in helping out.

I have a feeling this will not be my last trip over there and this will not bet last role as Santa for these children. I hope to continue this year after year.

God bless you all and wishing you all a very Merry Christmas with your friends and family.

Hopefully Tim will get some pictures of a bleary-eyed Santa passing out gifts in Cebu when he wakes up in seven hours or so.
