Cool video.
Toughest landing I ever had was a night landing a P-3 in Brunswick, Maine in the winter. That night the weather was 100' ceiling and a quarter mile visibility in blowing snow. The weather, 100/0.25, was at our minimums. We shot a PAR and went missed approach. On the second PAR we got visual on the runway and landed.

Ok, that was funny . . . you need to make like George now and leave on a high note!
This is why pilots make a lot of money. He used every bit of that runway.
Cool video. Can you imaging what it would be like living in one of those houses near the runway.

My bride the adventuress, just returned from NZ this past Sunday. She had a great time and said the people were very friendly compared to other countries she has visited. She hiked to Cook Mtn and on a rocky site there are bronze plaques with the names of the the people who died trying to climb it.....:)

whew.....made it.
At first, I was like; "This is so awesomely cool!" diggin' the music and shit.
then I was like; "Oh, cool we're gonna skim the clouds!"
then I was like; "um,...gettin' kinda close to that mountain..."
then we it turned towards the other mountain and started gettin' lower and tighter on the turn...
...and I'm like; "You're not gonna dive through this shit while pointed at that mountain are you????????"
and that's exactly what happened!!!!!!!! And I'm going like; " OH SHIT...OH SHIT...OH SHIT...!!!!!!" all the way through that cloud.
then we landed...and I could breath...
Dayam, pucker factor big time for me in the clouds. Cool video. :seasix:

I just flew the same approach with the jet fighter in google earth. "Landed" on the airstrip and everything. Unfortunately, my landing was vertical. I haven't quite figured out how to land yet, but it's fun as hell, regardless.

Great video. I have a pilots license, but due to the expense of it, I haven't actively flown in years. Good thing is, on our jets at work, I can ride up front any time I want and take pictures while someone else has to do the work.:seasix:

I was in Souda Bay last year living in the same compound as the P-3 guys. They were all pretty laid back. They come in to Robins all the time out of Jacksonville NAS, but we are seeing more and more of the P-8.:seasix:

Butter Valley Golf Port ( Bally , Pa ) is a few miles from me. People fly in all the time for lunch or to play a round of golf.
