I have made pizzelles (http://www.browneyedbaker.com/2009/06/08/pizzelle-italian-waffle-cookies/) and dusted them with powdered sugar... they look like snowflakes and are the first cookie gone at Christmas cookie exchanges. :seasix:

Also like nutballs (http://dinnerwithjulie.com/2010/12/21/russian-tea-cakesmexican-wedding-cakesmoms-nut-balls/) (aka Russian tea cakes/Italian or Mexican wedding cakes) and Italian meatball cookies (http://www.yummly.com/recipe/external/Italian-Cookies-I-Allrecipes). :yum:

Not necessarily a Christmas cookie, but brown edged wafers are my favorite.

When I was a kid it was oatmeal, or oatmeal raisin. I still like them but now I'm also into peanut butter cookies with a hershey kiss on top.

So far we have: chocolate chip and gingerbread men. Still have to make the peanut butter and the sugar cookies.

Partial to almond flavor.

Also like the traditional Swedish cookies.

That's pretty close to eggnog. You also need copious amounts of rum! :yesnod:

I have about 1/2 gallon of very potent eggnog left over from our party yesterday. Two small cups of it and you're lit. :shots:

My Aunt Chris (God rest her soul) made the best creamy custard at holiday time. She used Barcardi rum as one of her ingredients. :datawiz:

Sugar cookies

:iagree: It isn't Christmas without my grandma's sugar cookies. Thankfully, her last trip she showed my wife how to do it.

I like a good Butterkuchen or Zuckerkuchen (German) or a kringle (Scandinavian) pastry this time of year, too. :seasix:
