Lost my buddy today [Archive]

Had to put my buddy Moxie down today :sadangel: He had been suffering from wobblers disease, which I had never heard of before he got it. Not very pleasant watching him go down hill, but he is done with the suffering and, I'm convinced, in a better place. I will miss him.

What strikes me about this was the thread about rescuing vs going with a breeder. We tend to do rescues and this could very well have been a puppy mill dog that had issues that maybe wouldn't have been present in a dog from a good breeder. I'll never know at this point, but it does concern me on future rescues, even though I know I will most likely continue to do them. ALL dogs need good homes as far as I'm concerned!

Sorry to hear about Moxie :sad: As many people have said, "The more people I meet, the better I like my dog".

Whether you decide on a rescue or from a breeder, just make a positive difference in that animal's life :yesnod:

So sorry...our Black and Tan Coonhound has an aggressive form of Cancer. We'll be doing the same soon. We've lost 2 dogs in 2013. I'll be so glad when the year is over.
