Boston has released a new album. I don't know if calling themselves "Boston" is really accurate, Tom Scholz is the only original member. Either way, it still sounds like Boston.

One of my all time favorite bands. First two albums - absolute classics. Some good songs on later works, but it was Scholz and Delp together that made the sound.

Original lead singer:

On March 9, 2007, lead singer Brad Delp committed suicide at his home in Atkinson, New Hampshire. Police found Delp dead in his master bathroom, along with several notes for whoever would find him. In the bathroom where Delp committed suicide, two charcoal grills were found on the bathroom fixtures, and the door sealed with duct tape and a towel underneath. Delp was alone at the time of his death, according to the police report. Delp was found by his fiancée, who saw a dryer hose attached to his car

I hate, HATE 99% of the new pop/rock out there these days. While it may not be the old Boston, I love to hear new music from one of my favorite bands. Scholz was the brains behind Boston anyway. It was his baby.

The Boston sound is still here. The best description I ever read about Scholz's distortion tone was it's distortion you could bring into church.

I saw 'em back in the day. They played Third Stage and you would have sworn it was the album. Didn't sound 'live' at all. :shrug:
