Check out the room we've reserved in Vegas.

MGM Grand Hotel and Casino : Skyline Marquee Suite (http://www.mgmgrand.com/hotel/skyline-marquee-suite.aspx)

We'll be in Vegas with family for 10 days, but we're gonna splurge and stay on the strip on the 26th. 1,500 S.F., windows in 3 sides and full view of the strip, complete with pool table, two king bedrooms, blah blah blah. Will take pics when we are there.

No kidding.

I suck at gambling, but I've become pretty good at Texas Hold 'Em, so I might try a touch of that. Been going to Vegas for 20+ years and have never won anything significant, so gambling is not high on the list. Shows, great hotel room, possibly something car-related at LVMS are on the agenda.

I have a set of golf clubs out there, so I'll definitely be golfing at least twice. My mom wants to take my daughter out for a day of shopping and pampering (you know my daughter...pampering....ROFL...give her a race car)

Very much looking forward to the trip. Family is overdue for a nice vacation. :yesnod:

I wonder how much you would have to lose to have that room comped.

Taxes, resort fees, extra person fee, ... , room is gonna be over $600, so I'd say I'd have to lose $2,500 to get the room comped. Personally, I'd rather pay for the room, pay for a few shows, play a small amount at the tables, and have a genuinely great time. :yesnod:

Sweet, I think spring mountain is out there somewhere, I'd go see if you couldn't beat up a C7. Sounds like you'll have fun. Good time for vacation too, plus seems like youve got a few solid days planned.

I looked into their schedule looking for a teen driving thing, but didn't see anything. :(

Am still considering renting a Lamborghini for the day that we stay on the strip. :yesnod:

"Do it" Just be sure to read the liability disclaimer very carefully. Deposit may be $2500ish and check ahead of time to see what your insurance company will cover. :cert:

Z06 is cheap. $600 a day, with a $1,500 security deposit. Murceilago Roadster requires a $10,000 security deposit. :D

Las Vegas Motor Speedway is right around the corner. I know they have a Kart track and a road course inside the oval. Might be worth checking their site/schedule.

Shelbys HQ is right adjacent to the track to. Nice facility.

Naturally, I could drive and do it, and the price is reasonable. She's the gear-head in training and a Lamborghini Aficionado. Unfortunately, she still only has her learner's permit. I doubt she'll be able to take one of these full throttle, even though she's done just that in the Vette. :yesnod:

This trip is about my kid and my family. If I can put her in a Lamborghini in some shape or form, it'll be a success.

When I was 16, I spent an entire month with my grandparents from CA. Fishing all over the west, from CA to CO ( including WY and ID )

Even though it was 1976, the pictures are still crystal clear in my mind.

I'm calling the Dream Racing peeps tomorrow to discuss the situation. The 27th is one of their open dates. I'd even pay the full 7 lap rate in the Aventador (which would allow me to drive), if they'd drive her for a full 7 laps. We both know there is no way in hell they'd let me take her for 7 laps. Guarandamntee you, there's an instructor in the car.

Regardless, I'm going to try like hell to make it happen. I'll bring my own damn Go Pro. :yesnod:

Sweet! The one time my wife and I stayed at the Aladdin, our room wasn't ready when it was supposed to be but we said we were cool, we'd just hang at the bar and have them let us know when it was ready. Finally the desk chick came over and said "You guys have been really nice and patient, I'm just going to upgrade you to a strip suite at no additional charge. You can go up with the bellhop now."

Wow, that was a nice room. Not as nice as the one you are staying at, but floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Bellagio fountains, an enormous walk-in shower, a separate living room area, about five TV's, you get the idea!
