My band DNA is disbanding after 15 plus years together and our last show is this Saturday the 7th. If anyone in the North / West Houston area wants to come out, last chance.

Good or bad, we plan to have a great time and the more the merrier !

Not in-town full time yet, or I'd stop by. It's just a few miles from where I'll be staying. Hope it's a great show!

There's no cover. Show up and I'll buy you a drink. :seasix:

We did consider having it videotaped but the guy wanted $900.00 to do it. Hell, we don't even make close to that for playing.

I'll have a camera there to video from the sound booth, but it won't be broadcast quality by a longshot.

I also fear we are going to be kind of loose and a less than stellar performance. A couple guys can't wait for this to be over. As for me, it's going to be a very sad occasion.

One door closes, another opens. We'll see what happens.

Well, if I can make it, I hope you guys know Freebird, 'cause that's my favorite joke when seeing a band, yelling "Freebird" between songs at least once. Folks under a certain age just wonder WTF the weirdo in the back is going on about.

We get that...often. :yesnod: We also get the younger guys yelling "Godsmack"

If I hear anyone yell Freebird now, I am going to get to the mic and say "Bill? Is that you?" :D

The gig went fairly well. A LOT of shots were given to us before and during the show (I do love Crown Royal) so it was not without its mistakes, but we had fun. The video is complete in that we got the entire gig, but with an 80 dollar camera, results are pretty awful. I can post some vids once I do some editing as it is one big long video that needs to be cut into individual songs. The bar owner was very complimentary to us. gave us a little bonus and insisted that if we reunite, that we play his bar for the reunion show. It was a bittersweet moment and the end got me a bit choked up. I just keep telling myself "one door closed, another will open".

Life is always throwing curve balls but I'm still surrounded by people that choose not to poison my food; I guess all in all I'm not too shabby. :dance:

Getting sick of the cold already. Looking forward to FL for this Winter.
I got back from a nice steak dinner last night and had to spend 45 minutes shoveling. :issues:

Ha ! It's just the timing of the shot. He was very happy to be there. He left us three years ago and surprised us that night by being set up when we got there. It truly was like old times being a 6 piece again.

I'm sure everyone is over this whole thing but I came across this and found it funny. I did this promo pic as a response from some bar owners who felt we didn't promote ourselves enough. I made it right after our keyboard player quit.
