Suspect Shot During W. Columbus Home Invasion Expected to Die
Updated: Saturday, November 23 2013, 10:44 AM EST
COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- A suspect shot during a home invasion is not expected to survive his injuries, according to police.
The suspect and his accomplice were shot by a homeowner during a break-in at a Cascade Court home in West Columbus at approximately 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Both suspects were transported to Columbus hospitals in critical condition. One man's status has since been upgraded to stable, while doctors expect the second suspect to die as a result of the shooting.
Police have not filed charges in connection with the home invasion, which remains under investigation.
The names of the suspects have not been released.
Sucks for the taxpayers that both lived long enough to receive expensive medical care that no doubt the taxpayers will be on the hook for. On the plus side, that's the last money the taxpayers will have to spend on one of the home invaders.
