Closed Captioning......

On Direct TV here, we have been using closed captioning on the TV....have a 2/3 deaf MIL staying here....age 84 or so....


BUT it is most irritating that the dumb bastards can't put the CC crap up on the TOP LEFT of the screen, so when we watch ANY THING , the dam CC is not on top of the bottom scrolls from local news to Fox news to even a boring TV show....

WTF is the MATTER with these companies, they have NO common sense anymore???

Check the owner's manual for your television set. I'm pretty sure you can choose where it shows up. Not positive, mind you, just pretty sure.

I'd be more impressed if CC was spelled correctly on an old (in other words, not live) show where they had time to check it. Sometimes it comes out as gibberish.

I could laugh at it sometimes if I wasn't so pissed off! The rest of the time, the CC lags the video abut 5-10 seconds...maddening!!!!!
