My FIL seems to be on an infomercial buying spree as of late, all to my benefit.
First the Pistol Lesson DVD, which is awesome, and after three sessions, I'm a believer. It has helped me immensely.
Now today, he has me come over and gives me a Little Giant Ladder with the scaffold . :seasix:
It was still in the box!.....
I got to messing with it in the barn and it seems like an awesome ladder.
I've seen the infomercial and wanted one until the ~$500 price tag was divulged...finally. I think that I'm gonna really like it.
Anyone out there use one?

I like mine. I have one that extends to 13 feet. Comes in handy and is really sturdy. I only weigh about 180 so I am not pushing any weight limit on it. Stores easy and it weighs less than 50 pounds. It is as easy to use as he demonstrates. :seasix:

This one goes 17'. I go 245 and it's solid as a rock with me on it...
I look forward to putting it through it's paces.
It seems really well built.

I have this one in the 6'-10'

Little Giant Ladder (http://www.littlegiantladder.com/little-giant/type-1a-select-step.html)

I like it. Lots of great features but it is a LOT heavier than the 8' alum ladder it replaced. i like the adjustable height. The only other drawback besides weight is the wide base, you wont be able to wheel it around through doorways. For as little as I use it, its a great tool for around the house chores... :cert:

I like mine for home repairs, paint, and we use those on our aircraft. They are stored in the cargo bay for the crew to use also! Come to think of it, all the aircraft I have worked on we have had little giant ladders. :seasix:

Not sure of the brand that I have, but same general concept. I love it. A little difficult to store, only because of where we live and how little storage we have. Not the ladders fault. You have a great ladder now...

Wonder if that step in the video is universal enough to use with mine...research ensues!

I have a Gorilla, pretty much same ladder.

:iagree:

The one I have is really sturdy. I weigh around 250lbs and it handles me with no issues, but it is A LOT heavier than my aluminum ladder.

I keep a 6 ft aluminium right next to it that is used more often because I can easily carry it with one hand.

I've used a friends little giant. Nice and versatile, but there's NFW I would pay $500 for a ladder

I'm not sure what brand my brother in law has, but his collapsed with him on it a couple of weeks ago. He hit the deck next to the pool, and the electric chainsaw he was using went into the pool.
He told me that it was folded in the scaffold mode and he was standing on the horizontal part. He said he was positive that the latches were all latched properly.

Good ladders but be careful collapsing it from extension mode. I did it once and it got away from me and the ladder collapsed and obliterated my big toe. Doctor damn near threw up when I pulled off my shoe.
