My 88.
One thing everyone agrees on, early C4 wheels are ugly.

I always liked the simple shape of the 4s. A buddy has a triple black 90 and it's really classy. And I've driven a few ZR1s and they're quite the hot rod. :lilred:

This was my '94. Much better car than the '87.

A buddy has a 94, nice car and the AC will freeze your butt off . A little too quiet a soft riding for me. And my 87 is faster.:D:D

Ill never forget the unique sound when you closed the doors with the windows down..it sounded like every part inside the car come off, bounced around, then went back in place...

I disagree. I liked the sawblades....especially the chrome ones. Sirius.

That, and getting in and out was a contortion exercise. I'm 6'-2" and had to fold in half to get through the doors.

And every time I got out of the damn thing my hoof would catch the e brake.

I never owned a C4 but did like their looks and thought they made nice looking drag cars.:cert:

Im 5'4"...and it was no easier for me. I often compared it to getting into a 5 gallon bucket, instead of a driver seat.

Also, I hated the snap oversteer these things had on older or colder tires..it came without warning...

I sold my '87 in '95, tired of the smog nazis bought my '72, put on '92 sawblades, but tired of them and now have '89 wheels on it....

And talk of ZR1, an old friend here in Jax owned one, yellow, but he died of brain cancer some dozen years ago, and the car was sold off, many stories about it being parted out, it apparently was one of just NINE custom tune jobs from some shop in California, so the son of an old friend gets on the net, locates the car, some old guy out in Washington state had it, he is about 80, and so he sold it to the kid, who got it back to Jax Florida....

Me and another guy maybe meet up soon and go see the damn thing.....

it's the car Doug and I went on the '99 Bowling Green cruise in with.....I remember replacing the 6 speed in it, so that much is not OEM, but I dunno if they ever marked the ZFs with any S# ....

I meant the 84-87 turbine wheels. My car actually had the weird 88 only rims. They were16's so I replaced them with the sawblades.

Yeah, but those sidepipes play their own distinctive soundtrack everytime you tromp the loud pedal. :seasix:
