Just like the HOV lanes in Jersey. I used to joke that it should stand for High Output Vehicles only.

My biggest pet peeve here in ATL is bikes in the HOV lane.

Bikes are allowed in the HOV lane here because it is safer (i get it). My problem though is the yuppie wannabe Harley guys getting in the lane on their bikes with a couple buddies and just cruising at barley the speed limit with traffic stacking up behind them.

Back in NY if you were in a carpool lane you would have a grayhound bus shoving you down the road at 85mph+ for you to GTFO of the way..
