got a check FROM the state today (i'm so used to writing them checks) for my one hour of jury service.

$18.55

:hurray::hurray:

$6.25 for jury service
$12.30 for mileage

hell yeah, i'm going shopping tomorrow......

but not at Wallymart. :nono: don't like my gun, fine, don't get my money. :kick:

That should just about cover a 12 pack of Busch beer, a pack of smokes, and a Redbox movie rental. Looks like it will be a good weekend at the DAB household. Lucky bastard.

YER SO royally over paid, it's a joke.....last time I did jury duty, I got paid 6 bux.....not even covering the gasoline.....Monkey Co. Faryland, Rockville courthouse.....:leaving:

One of our former governors here tripled jury pay, from $5 to $15 a day. Sounds great, right? There was only one catch - you got paid nothing until your third day. And since most people called for jury duty are only there one day, they get nothing now. (We do get paid mileage. though)

This is how politicians look like they are giving you something when they are really taking it away.
