But not quite yet;
50° day, but not too cold for the rolling sofa.

Here it is. The 2014 replacement to my bike. 18 year improvement, 18 year price increase too.

Riding season almost never stops here, but right now it is GOOOOOD!!
I keep my top down the same times I see bikes on the road. :D
I put my bike in front of the '85 yesterday, I'm pretty much done for the year except for an ocassional weekend ride.
Anyway, Last Wednesday, I rode to work at 6:00am. Still dark, and foggy (45ish). Darn windscreen kept fogging over. That was it.

I went for a ride this morning myself. Plan on riding as much as possible until ice/snow issues.

I remember leaving a bar one night, and it had snowed most of the evening, on my BSA Lightning, and honestly I rode with both feet on the ground as rudders to stay upright, and nearly froze my :balls: off on the way home. :willy:
I was soooooo cold I couldn't stop shivering!...:canadian:

By the looks of those pictures you must mean "bike polishing season is over"?
My insurance expires the middle of November. It's usually hitting 20° by then and excessive speed becomes dangerous as your eyes stick closed everytime you blink.

Guilty as charged. It do keep 'em clean, but they don't sit there in the garage either.

No, I didn't buy, I was window shopping. I hadn't seen any of the 2014 models. Yesterday was the "Frost your nuts" run, the dealer had several models sitting out front.

Used to ride mine all year long in my younger days.
Hadn't been on one in probably 10 years now.

Seriously, it's been so damned hot, riding (and top down on the vert) season is just now starting for us.

Too bad you didn't make it to Milw on Labor day weekend.
The Motor Factory in the Falls where the big twins are produced (BTW right across the street from where I work) had the "Factory Demo rides" Thursday thru Sat.
I went on Saturday. Wife and I went out on a Fat Boy Low (would not buy it), but any and all types of bikes HD sells was available for riding on a 5 mile route through the Falls area (NorthWest of Milw), including a 2 mile stretch on Hwy 41-45.
I'd say there were approximately 100 bikes available to choose from, in 3 catagories; Sport, Touring, and Cruisers (including trikes).

This is exactly why I will have little to no chrome when I'm finished building mine this winter. I fuggin hate hate hate hate hate chrome and I hate cleaning it even more.

I've found chrome is a lot easier to keep clean than black. A leaf blower whips the water right off.
That black HD uses on its motors is murder to keep clean.

What's up with the Fat Boy Low Touringmike?
What's up with the Fat Boy Low Touringmike?
Rough riding, even with a 2 person setup. Rode like a rigid frame. Hit a bump, and the SO nearly flew off the back.
Pretty much the same bike frame set-up as my much much older FLSTC, but major riding differences.
Sharp looking bike, but the ride/feel is not my demographic.
I'd say I'm too old for this type of set-up.

Ahhh OK, I wasn't sure but thought the one in your OP was your new one. :seasix:
Yours looks so good it would be hard to justify spending the extra money. :yesnod:

Same here..
On the coldest winter night here in the islands I might put a long sleeve shirt on for the ride over to town (at night only) but when I get there it is still too hot to keep it on.
The cold weather in Ohio never use to bother me, but when I was there 2011 for the month of December I about froze my butt off.
It was the first time I had seen snow in about 9 years.
