Lost another WW 2 vet last night

My dad passed away last night at 8pm,I just left the hospital where he told my sister and I that he would not make it through the night. I left to go get dinner and my sister called me back and said he was gone ,89 years old. Rest in piece Dad,I'll miss you.:sadangel:

I lost my Dad a few years ago now, and don't think I will ever get over it.

It is going to be a tough time for you for awhile.

Sorry to hear that Bobby, my old veteran Dad is 90 himself, so it' won't be long for him either.....not in the best of health. That generation knew and did things we have no comprehension of, and gave a lot for us to enjoy what we have today. :sadangel:

My Dad too, career Army, lost him 27 years ago, think of him almost everyday, as you will of yours. I see my son (career Army) in my father, and often say to him, if only your Grand Pop could see you now.
