Anyone who watches football surely has a favorite snack for game day.

Coco makes these little smoked hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls. :sneaks:

What's your favorite?

A good simple recipe for guys would also be quesadillas.

Prepackaged Shredded Cheddar & prepackaged chicken breast chunks (the ones on the lunc meat aisle meant for salads)

Toss em' on a tortilla, fold in half, throw in a pan greased with butter, fry on both sides until insides melted, tortilla slightly crispy.

Optional: top with pico de gallo salsa.

Usually 2 tortillas will do, 6 triangles. But if you're really hungry, doesn't take long each time.

Brick of Philadelphia Cream Cheese

4 oz of picante sauce.

Heat in a sauce pan until cheese is fully melted into the chili.

Just keep doubling it to make more.

Serve with Fritos Scoops.

Lots of savory recipes in here, here's another quick and dirty game-day recipe, for your sweet tooth.

http://food.sndimg.com/img/recipes/24/11/81/large/picoILEMF.jpg

Ingredients:
# 3 cups corn flakes, crushed
# 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
# 1/2 cup sugar
# 1/2 cup white corn syrup
# 6 ounces milk chocolate chips

Directions:
1. Heat peanut butter, sugar and corn syrup over low heat to melt. Stir in cereal.
2. Pat into a 8x8 lightly greased pan. (I line my pan with foil and then lightly spray it. When it is time to cut them, the foil lifts right out.).
3. Melt chocolate chips over low heat or in the microwave and spread over top. Cool until firm.

That's because you're doing it wrong. ABT's are supposed to be filled with a mixture of cream cheese, finely chopped onion, shredded smoked pork or brisket, stuff like that. Then you wrap them in bacon and SMOKE THEM on a SMOKER until they are SMOKEY and good.

Feel free to check in for other things you're doing wrong, I'm here to help. :D

Also, when I make mine, I cut the jap in half, scoop out the seeds, stuff it, and put it back together prior to wrapping with a slice of thin-cut bacon. Then I sprinkle it with dry rub seasoning all over and put on the smoker until the bacon is crisp and done. Fork and knife on a plate at that point, unless you don't value the skin on the roof of your mouth.

You don't have to go crazy with ABTs, but they do need to be cooked with indirect heat. If they're going in an oven, put them on a broiler pan and make sure you flip them.

The basic filling you can do is just cream cheese. I will typically just do cream cheese mixed with a little sugar and lime juice. You can also put pork, bacon bits, etc, whatever you can dream of in them.

This past weekend, I marinated some thinly cut ribeye with Achiotte, apple cider, and fresh roasted Hatch chilis. Guy at work makes something similar. Fills the jalapenos with cheese then places them end to end on a 2-3" wide 1/2 inch layer of Jimmy Dean sausage. Rolls up the sausage around the peppers to encase them. Finally he rolls them in corse corn meal. Bake in oven for 30 min. at 375* cool and slice in 1/2" rounds.

 I've been looking at tickets on stubhub but I'd gladly take your address as a backup plan :o_o: At $1700.00 per ticket for the cheap seats, that may be the best plan

We go to a Christmas party every year and one of our favorites is meatballs in equal parts of Chili sauce and grape jelly - they are so good. Gozar has changed the recipe a bit - less jelly and more spice - even better. My wife Lynn has made those before.
You would think, "Grape Jelly?! YUK!" but they turned out great :yesnod:

Atomic buffalo Turds.

Piggy turned me onto them.

Jalepeno cut in half with seeds removed.
Fill with cream cheese.
Wrap with bacon (use a tooth pick to hold it on).

Bake for 20 minutes at 350. I eat a ton, and always regret doing it.

Outstanding.

He calls them armadillo eggs. They're very good.:yesnod:

Sounds damn good. And I bet 9/10 people that eat it sh*t their pants on the drive home.

Packers?! <rips up game party invitation and tosses it in the trash>

:D

My wife and I have having a Bears/Packers party here Sunday. Wife sent out the text inviting about 15 people. In the text she said "No Pack Attack. If you want to root for the Packers, do it somewhere else." :D

A few years ago when the Patriots were in the SB, the guy in our car group who hosted the SB party in his family room with his new big screen TV had the outside deck set up with cheap plastic chairs and a sign that read "Special Seating for Patriots Fans"

I'm fond of the SB too, but what are you eating? :D

 Usually chop up pieces of steak, chicken, potatoes and set it all up in front of the t.v. My mom always makes what we call the SB meal. She uses a roasting pan and throws in some pork ribs, potatoes, carrots, onions, green beans, and tomatoes, along with some spices. Then you load up your plate and sprinkly shreaded cheddar on top and eat with tortilla chips. Yum-mee!!

If you are having a party and need a good snack mix... this is WAY better than the "normal" Chex Mix recipe.

Preheat oven to 275 degrees.

In a small pot over low heat (don't boil) mix:
-1 stick butter
-2 tsp celery salt
-1 tsp garlic salt
-1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
-1/4 cup Worchestershire Sauce

In a large baking dish (I use a big metal roaster) mix:
-3 Cups Honeycomb cereal
-3 Cups Wheat Chex
-4 Cups Rice Chex
-4 Cups Corn Chex
-1 Cup dry roasted peanuts
-1 Cup pretzel sticks

When butter mixture is completely melted, pour evenly over cereal mixture and stir until evenly coated.

Bake at 275 degrees for 1 hour, mixing every 15 minutes.

Also bacon=wrapped with cinnamon instead of crecent rolls is good sometimes too.

I took some lil smokies, semi cooked bacon, chedder cheese, and crescent rolls wrapped it all up. Was awesome.:o_o:
