...you cupid stunt.:slap:

Cliffs..

Went running at dusk..
By time i was wrapping up and in my last mile it was dark.
Woman out power walking :bfd: with headphones on wasn't paying attentention and running down the middle of the sidewalk.
She didn't realize i was coming up on her until i was within 5 feet of her and about to overtake her.
When she turned around and saw me, the look of panic/fear/suprise in her face was priceless..
That moment of humor on my end turned to concern when her reaction to seeing me caused her to jump out into a relatively busy street to get away from me, she was so startled.

Really...:spdchk:

He had a red flashing light. She was probably holding and thought he was the jogging police.

I was coming down the trail one sunny afternoon and there was a jogger ahead going the same direction. The trail was wide and flat at that point so I moved to the left "lane" and prepared to pass on his left. From 100 feet back, I saw the jogger was a big, muscular guy in a tank top, wearing iPod-type headphones. At 50 feet back, I barked out, "On your left," as is my usual practice.

He must have been deep in thought because, as soon as I announced myself, he danced a jig right off the trail and into the bushes. It was like he was suddenly overtaken by "Riverdance" and epilepsy.

I was trying really hard not to laugh as I passed him and, as he got back on the trail, I heard him say, "Sorry... scared the s**t outta me."

:Jeff '79: Funniest damn thing I saw all week.

I've never been comfortable running outside with headphones on. I want to be able to hear people, cars, animals, etc... that might be approaching me or warning me about something.

I don't do surprises in these situations.

I don't wear headphones or listen to anything when I go mountain biking because the sound of silence is part of what makes it enjoyable. People who take their noise with them to the trail should GTFO and jog around their neighborhood.

Females out by themselves should be scared when approached by a man. They are basically defenseless against the power of a man.

In more than a few instances I have come across one alone in the wilderness lost, buried up to the axles, or both. Not sure WTF that's all about but I help them out and point them in the right direction. Very odd situations to say the least, causes me to suspect some kind of setup or ambush. That wouldn't go well for anyone involved as I am always well armed in the woods and hate surprises .

Lady in the office was walking toward me yesterday, but reading something in her hand. She didn't see me standing there until she almost ran into me. Woman 'bout shit a brick.

Good thing I'm not black, she might've had a heart attack....:spdchk:

I'm just gonna scream "RUN!!!" next time i approach a woman while running.

My way of saying, good job. Help keep her motivated to get/stay in shape.:seasix:

She might have been afraid of any man. I'm lily white and I've seen women jump aside when I walk by. I wasn't even undressing them with my eyes, they're usually too ugly for me to risk it :D
