Saw the Stones in 94....Voodoo Lounge tour with Bryan Adams and Ian Moore. The running joke was "how can they tell when the stage is level? Keith Richards drools out of both sides of his mouth".
Always wanted to see the Eagles....I can't tell you why..... :leaving:

Keith Richards, I mean what can you say about Keith. You know for a while he needed total blood transfusions just so he could enter the US and Canada. Keith will probably end up out living all of them.:D
Always wanted to see the Eagles....I can't tell you why..... :leaving:
Just Take it easy Friz
Everyone one of us here has had to been laid to an Eagle song (Except for Wayne who only listened to JD:D) The Eagles really don't sing about religion or politics, just day to day life IMHO.

Anyone see the Eagles History playing on ShowTime? It's a 3 hour history, but very interesting how they started out, and how Glenn Fry and Don Henley came to be by meeting in California.

Oh yeah, excellent show. Glenn and Don were actually in Linda Ronstadt's band, believe it or not.
You can buy me a limo ride, 5-star hotel, front seat ticket, back stage pass, and I will not go and see the eagles. I personally think they suck.

Not even Viagra on an empty stomach would do the trick if that crap is playing.

Henley does.
Pick up the CD "Inside Job". Politics (liberal ones, at that) start to finish. Great album musically and lyrically, but he's a screamin' commie.

I knew Henley was a lefty and a tree hugger and I also know he bought a huge park that was going to be developed or something. But they did keep politics out of Eagle music for the most part. Christ Friz, if us conservatives hated every musical lefty, well we'd pretty much have only Ted Nugent music and Clint Eastwood movies:D

Have never seen them live, but I do enjoy their music. The Eagles Farewell Tour DVD in Melbourne, I think is one of the most professionally, visually slick, best sounding concerts I've ever seen.
Each song sounds as good or better than the original release. Each member, along with the groups hits together, also highlights their individual hits when they went solo. Really a great DVD. Play it often.

Don't feel too old - this year is my 40th anniversary graduating from high school. My 28 year old son is on his 10 year anniversary from high school.
You know what they say...life is like a roll of toilet paper - the closer you get to the end the faster it goes.

Every time I think of Joe Walsh with the Eagles I hear the Sesame Street song "One of these things is not like the others. One of these things does not belong". That said, he was involved in some big hits with them.

I graduated in 1981, and that summer I saw the 3rd Annual Day of R&R at the New Orleans Superdome.
The Rockets,
Foghat,
Ted Nugent,
REO Speedwagon, and
Heart!!
Awesome concert! Just before I went into the Navy for 20 yrs. Didn't get to see Styx until Kansas opened for them in San Diego (on the harbor, phenomenal venue!), like 1998 or so. One of the last concerts with Dennis DeYoung with the band.

It is possible Friz these guys are out of money, all married women 20% of their age, and we know were that normally goes.

Looks like Van Halen is the only rock band that chooses to stay BUTT-HURT. Many times I think Paul Stanley, and Gene Simmons don't get along, but they know that by faking it millions have been made.

I did, and all he would say was that he got pulled over in Arkansas by some (his words) punk-assed county cop. He said his name was Officer Bobby. Any relation?:D

Norm, they were unbelievable live and still sounded as good or better almost 40 years later. See them if you can, as this may be their last hurrah:cert:
