Try this on...

Star Wars Episode VII: A New Dawn

New Dawn of... a new Jedi Order? A new Sith Order? A new Republic? A new Empire?

Honestly, the subtitles of these movies are always a bit of a let down.

Probably not the actual title anyway...

Perhaps Obama will weasel in with an appearance. ..

(Fundamentally speaking, of course)

Are we going to have a Chewbacca? Thats really all that matters...

I'm hoping not a Chewbacca, but the Chewbacca. If they bring back Fisher, Ford and Hamill, but not Mr. Mayhew, that would be some seriously bad backlash from the fans...

The concern with that is, can Mayhew walk enough without a can to play the part?

Or can they bluescreen out a cane?

BTW, Mayhew has the coolest cane:

I think the most to hope for would be a double for walking scenes and close ups of Mayhew in costume.

Isn't "A New Dawn" a tautology?

Do they replace all of the blasters with walkie talkies?

Steven went back and undid that... on the BluRay, they're guns again.

The Star Wars spinoffs are to be 'origin' movies, it has been announced.

Disney's chief financial officer Jay Rasulo revealed the news during an investor conference at the Bank of America, reports Variety. Although the majority of the presentation centred on branding, merchandising and licencing opportunities, he did let slip the vital information regarding the planned standalone films.

Reaffirming that audiences could expect a Star Wars movie every year from 2015, his wording revealed that an "origin story film" would intersperse episodes of the new Star Wars trilogy.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Disney hope that the new standalone films, which are being developed by Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg, will be able to spin off into franchises of their own.

It is believed that the first spin-off will focus on the backstory of Jedi Master Yoda. Speaking previously about the prospect of starring in his own standalone Star Wars movie, Frank Oz, who voices Yoda, said: "He's in my heart. I know Yoda very deeply."

Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch has landed a role in Star Wars: Episode VII, according to new reports. Star Wars fans are apparently expecting a major announcement regarding the movie and according to Film Chronicles it will be Cumberbatch who is unveiled as a new cast member.

Speculation is also being fuelled by several recent interviews in which Cumberbatch has spoken about being a Star Wars fan since childhood.

On top of this, Cumberbatch worked with JJ Abrams, director of Episode VII, on this year's Star Trek Into Darkness, in which he played the villain. Lucasfilm - which is now owned by Disney - has slated Star Wars: Episode VII for release in 2015 and hired Toy Story 3 writer Michael Arndt to pen the script.
