Evedently someone with a car collection died. The collection had 150 cars in it. They are all selling at no reserve. Everything from 442 to original 27 model T going for dirt cheap.

What year 442 and how much? Had a 68 and still wish I had it to this day.

hmmm,72's are easy to make a clone out of.No "44" in the beginning of the vin as they went back to being an "option" and not a separate model.

...iirc it goes across on Saturday... :seasix:

The estimate is 3.5 million...:shots:

Saw a feature on it today (thursday) and the 3.5 million estimate is for a '67 NCRS top flight winning restoration of a former drag nationals winner....

Surprising the right two bidders weren't in that room... and suddenly one wonders what is wrong with the car...

I can't remember the guys name that owned the collection. But, he also had a '68 Yenko Camaro go through. Top of the line muscle in his collection.

Some nut paid around $200k for a '57 Ford Ranchero :confused5: Interesting auction with 'tanker' cars, some deals, etc...

I finally have a laptop with HDMI for streaming to big screen. Very enjoyable.

$90k for an Eleanor clone... I'll never understand that particular wrinkle in the world of collector cars. Sure, it's a nice looking combo of bodykit and colors, but is it really worth 3 times the money of a non-Shelby '67 Mustang Fastback? Really?

Wasn't Iron Chef planning on selling some cars there?

:yesnod: The original movie car I can understand...clones...no.

I remember him talking about selling them. But, I wasn't sure at this auction or another one. There is money in this auction room.

I never saw him on the Velocity broadcast, nor any of the vehicles I remembered him driving or having seen in posts. (They only broadcast a little less than half of the vehicles that go across.) The Leake auction will be coming up in November at the Dallas Market hall. They have appeared to be taping the auction process in the past, but I have never seen it broadcast on a cable station.

I finally got a laptop with HDMI port. I streamed the whole live auction to my TV. Google has a device called Chromecast now for only $35. You can use it to stream from many devices via WIFI from the Chrome browser.
