Man Commits Suicide in Hospital After Wife Gives Birth

(Reuters) – A Houston man shot himself to death in his wife’s hospital room on Sunday, 3 1/2 hours after she had given birth to their baby, police said.

“Family members said he has been distraught recently,” Houston police spokesman John Cannon said on Monday.

The Michael Carl Nobles, shot himself in a private room at Willowbrook Methodist Hospital in Northwest Houston on Sunday afternoon, Cannon said. He died shortly after being transported to another hospital, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

His wife, who gave birth earlier on Sunday, was not injured, and Cannon said the baby was not in the room at the time.

Although Texas has a law allowing licensed firearms owners to carry concealed weapons, they are prohibited in many places, including hospitals.

Police did not know what kind of gun was used. A spokesperson from the Houston Methodist Hospital would not comment on the incident.

Could be, but I'm thinking he already had the weapon on him and was planning it anyway. Some folks are ready for kids and want them, he may not have been one of those folks. :sadangel:

ASSuming you first sentence is true, it would be most obvious he knew of her cheating, and so ......CASE CLOSED.....he not paying child support for 25 years, ruining his life, he saw no future.....

If the child is his he is a douche of the highest order. The pussification continues.. got problems? Everybody does, man the **** up if you need help... find it don't take the cowards way out. Think of how much he ****ed this child's life physically and opportunity wise: no support from dad (mentally , psychologically and physically) And lost opportunity due to reduced income in the household.
If it is not his kid, guy is an idiot, if he suspected something he should not have signed the birth certificate then baby mama gets state to order a blood test.. not yours go on your merry way, yours pay up sucker
