I removed the trim AMD had access to a narrow space between the ceiling and the second story floor. I was trying to avoid pulling the entire piece of siding off.

I noticed flys coming out of one section. Looked in and saw maggots on the insulation. Made a tool out of some steel bar with a hook on the end.

Pull a bunch of insulation out. Then, I saw it. A tail. A striped tail.

Kept digging with the tool and pretty soon I had it near the opening. At first it wouldn't fit through the opening. I pulled on the tail but it was going to come apart.

Using the hook tool, I pried it out. Adult ringtail. Dead as a door nail. Covered in maggots.

Then, I rigged a small shopvac to spray baking soda. shot the area full of baking soda. When it cools down outside, I'll replace with new insulation, fix the brick that fell off and tomorrow replace the trim.

I'm working on video of the debacle and will post here. Now I need to rest. Working in the sun hammered me good.

Should be able to rehabitate the bathroom now. :dance::dance: :puke:
