I've liked him in a few things; but 2.5 men??? :nonod: not his best work. Seriously overpaid IMO (if the figure is accurate).

I agree, and the figure is according to TV Guide.

Remember, these people are ones that the people tune in to see, which allows the networks to charge the enormous amount of money to advertise during the shows.

If the network is making so much that paying such salaries is financially viable, while still allowing them to bank significant profits, you cannot blame the talent for going after those salaries.

This is how a free market works.

I would have thought that she would have a pretty limited audience. I read that she signed a new contract through 2017.

it's the closest thing to "real" reality television out there.

Show brings in $100M in advertising revenue and costs them $10M to produce, not counting her salary. It's a HUGE CASH COW for them. :yesnod:

I had heard that Judge Judy was the highest paid female, didn't know she was highest paid period. That show is syndicated and reaches a huge percentage of the market, and that's why. You don't have to have huge ratings when you're everywhere, almost all the time.

Every time I see her on tv, I remember "The Taming of the Shrew" which I do by changing the channel. Cannot stand her.

The people who eat dog food (I actually doubt any of them do, considering 47 million Americans are eating with food stamps on our dime) should have taken acting classes and gotten one of those high paying jobs.

Wonder how much of that 30mil Jon Steward gives away to help to under privileged in this country? Not a whole lot I bet.

How much tax do you think Jon Stewart pays on that $ 30M? All that tax money gets redistributed from his pocket to the pockets of the 47% that pay no tax. His taxes pay for food stamps, section 8 housing, free medical care, WIC, foreign aid, wars, and a whole host of other forms of wealth redistribution. He is already paying waaaay more than his "fair share."
