Yup, agreed. One thing I really didn't like about the 308 was that the steering wheel was pushed way up higher than I like it. I like my wheel almost vertical, this was laid well back.

I guess my feet are smaller! I could heel/toe pretty easily in it. Those cars were really designed and meant to be DRIVEN! Very responsive car all around.
I only got to drive my friends lease car though (friend owned the lease company), I'm not NEARLY financially sound to buy one!!

Well, while I have Dr. Comstock pushing me too, I have the professor who is a tax attorney pushing me to sit for the CPA. I'm leaning towards taking the Becker review, sitting for the exam get some work experience. Then go back for my doctorate.

Right now, I'm one of six managers of the university's investment fund, and I just finished up the financial information for our Annual report. We did very well...

Russell 3000- had a 16.9% return std deviation of 5.16
Pacer investment Fund-17.98% return w/ std deviation of 3.52

The fund's annual return (unrealized gain/loss + dividend income/ cost basis) was 18.1%

So I'm doing some accounting, some investing, some managing of a fund but I think it would better if I got the CPA out of the way for now. Take a break from school for a yr or 2 then go back.

I agree - sit for the exam - I know people that took the Becker courses years ago. There are many softwares that are out there as well to help do Self Study - that have a money back guarantee if you meet certain criteria. That is what I did, it was on my own time, half hour here, hour there, etc. worked great for me and a fraction of the price.

I agree - sit for the exam - I know people that took the Becker courses years ago. There are many softwares that are out there as well to help do Self Study - that have a money back guarantee if you meet certain criteria. That is what I did, it was on my own time, half hour here, hour there, etc. worked great for me and a fraction of the price.

I took a cram review course the week before the exam. If you didn't know it, you weren't going to learn it that quickly, but it was great for reviewing and also for directing your study to what was most likely to be on the exam. I'm sure there are still similar courses available.

Becker is just not my favorite because it costs $$$$ and requires a huge time commitment to get any of their guarantees. Yuck! :lol:

They have a minimum and as departure time gets closer they price will go down to fill the bus and pay for the trip. At the same time, if they are not getting reserved tickets for stops, they may be able to bypass certain stops reducing the time.

Dawn would like to have horses again some day. She had shown Tennessee Walkers for about 15 years.

Morning, all. Waking up to more snow this morning.

What are these weekends you speak of? I have to work so I don't get many

I shave ever other day. I don't like to go more than a two days without doing it because I seem to tear up like a little girl when attempting it on the third day :leaving:

Do you use a razor or electric shaver? My face gets torn up either way with a shaver.

Well, it is Michigan... We were supposed to get 5" but only got about 3". That's not bad. Hey, we learn to live with it. It's beautiful with the deer out in the woods and the fire going in the fireplace. And, we get some pretty good summers.
