Remembering Alex, my brother-in-law today. One year anniversary of his death. Died from a brain tumor.

Allex Scarborough, Sr. of Macon, Ga. Allex, 39, passed Wednesday, August 8, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elder Lillie B. Johnson and grandmother, Frances Scarborough.

Survivors include wife, KaShonda D. Scarborough; children, Shakia L. Scarborough, Alex. L. Scarborough, Jr., Shanece T. Scarborough, Alize` D. Scarborough and Jakayla A. Scarborough; granddaughter, Jakyliee J. Thomas; father, Levi Johnson, Jr.; siblings, Harold Scarborough, Brenda (Willie) Lyons Maddox, Atlanta, GA and Theresa (Julian) Shipp, of Louisville, KY.

Still tough on me and especially Theresa. Alex was her baby brother and they were very close. So young and with a wife and five kids, too.:sadangel:

But, we rejoice that we'll someday be reunited in Glory for all eternity! Praise be to God for the victory we have over death through Jesus Christ! Take your rest, Bro. We love you and miss you!

How time passes.... Seems like it just happened a few months back.

Very difficult for his wife and the little ones. :sadangel:

:iagree:

Time heals no wounds, but the Prince of Peace does. Indeed you all will see him again. And to those gone before us, it will be but moments of being apart.

Oh, what a day! The Marriage Supper of the Lamb! No more tears, or pain, or sorrow, for all those things will have passed away.:hurray:

My father-in-law's still really taking it hard. Alex worked beside him at the company he owned for many years on numerous construction/demolition projects throughout Middle and Central Ga.

I remember the post you made that day. I'm sorry for your and your families loss. Maybe my grandma's making some of her apple pie for him up there.

It's tough to lose salt of the earth and all around good people. The Shipp family and extended family are those kind of folks. :sadangel:

My prayers to your family Julian. I know how hard it is. When those that are so good and loved so much leave us; part of us seems to go with them, and we are left with a wound that never really heals.
