So I was at my neighbors party today and though that I'd take the opportunity to snap a pic of our friend's car....
Ya, that's me, with my former house in the back ground in the first pic.
I have since moved down the street to a ratty old farm house with a big ratty barn....:D

I gotta say that every time that that car starts up, my short hairs stand on end... One of the best sounds on earth......:yesnod:

Beautiful car.
:iagree:^10
It's highly unlikely I'll ever get to drive a Countach but I did get to be a passenger once.

Hmmm... You're slipping...
I expected something like, "Lurch, you're 4x's as tall as the car you big doofus", or something like that from you....:Jeff '79:
When that thing takes off it's timeless.
Ya, it may remind you of the 80's but it never ceases to awe me....
That thing has some serious gidee-up and grip....

A good read, indeed....:yesnod: That pretty much sums it up for me.....
Balboni concluding that cars like those couldn't exist in today's world. When I asked him why, he made the sign of the cross and said that was the standard braking procedure. :Jeff '79:

Nice Countach!
Everything you've ever heard about driving a Countach is true. You need some serious leg and arm muscle to even get it out of the parking lot. But once you do...the feeling is like nothing else. It's the coolest thing ever!

1989/1990 25th Anniversary Countach Fun Facts:
The body updates were designed by Horacio Pagani, who would later go on to found his own company, producing the Zonda and Huayra hypercars.
The Anniversary Countach and the '67 Sting Ray have something in common. They were both interim solutions when a new body style was late in development.
Pete Rose was the first person in the US to get an Anniversary Countach. It was probably the last pleasant surprise Rose would see for a while, as the betting scandal broke just days later. Rose had also been first to get a Ferrari Testarossa.
The Anniversary Countach is the most produced example of the Countach, with over 600 examples extant.

Nice - I drooled over those cars as a kid.
