Ines Sainz Predicts Jets Will Win Super Bowl

Ines Sainz, the TV Azteca reporter who briefly dominated news headlines after she was allegedly harassed by New York Jets players when she attended a practice to interview quarterback Mark Sanchez, is talking about the Jets again.
But she’s not talking about incidents from the past – she’s here to say that she thinks the Jets will win it all.
Sainz recently spoke to Steppin’ Out magazine, and talk eventually turned to the Jets. Apparently harboring no ill will, she said:
“They are like a star in the movies. They win games you truly believe they are going to lose.”
“I truly believe they have the best chance to win the Super Bowl. I think Mark Sanchez will do it!”
While she doesn’t explicitly say in there that she has no hard feelings, it’s hard to imagine she’d give such an enthusiastic endorsement of the Jets otherwise. Of course, she seems to harbor an especially soft spot for Sanchez, who as far as we know was not a part of the behavior that got the Jets in trouble.
Sainz also still can’t seem to believe just how much attention the story got, and indeed called it “too much attention,” though her life has seemingly returned to (mostly) normal since then.
Still, we’d share in her surprise that out of nowhere, she became a touchstone for gender relations in sports, locker room etiquette, the relationship between athletes and media members (especially female media members), and the culture of masculinity in general.
And since it didn’t seem like too enjoyable a spotlight to be in, we’re a little surprised to see her still so cheery about the Jets.
