What is the difference? Which should you consider for what purpose? Basic computer with minor game play? Serious gamer? I know how to choose a CPU, but have no experience with APUs.:confused5:
A CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the brain of the computer, an APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) is used to provide power to aircraft on the ground.
Not 100% sure where the confusion is :D:leaving:

We'll know things have gone south if he starts asking about cooling and power requirements to run dual RPGs.

I'd suggest central A/C plus a fan for when the gaming really gets tough.
