What happened to it's original concept. These cars now are trailered to the events, far from street legal and are worth tens of thousands of dollars, a very far cry from the cars that raced when the show first aired. Rich's signature arm drop thing is stupid, I'd like to know how much he gets paid and if his employers are on glue. Might as well watch the NHRA.
That's just my humble opinion.

I haven't watched it in a long time. Rich's minion up in the booth got on my nerves.
I only watched it a couple of times and it seemed incredibly lame. More of a made for TV drama show than anything else.....

I would rather watch 12 second cars that a father and son built in their garage than 10 second cars built in someone shop

Anyone can buy a 10 second car, try making yourself and not just handing the mechs a screwdriver. Grassroots my butt.
I'm ashamed to admit it but I'm watching it now and it is totally retarded. They try to make it all dramatic and $hit right before a commercial.
I wonder what's on History Channel, hopefully Pawn Stars.

Can't say I agree with that. The main reason I found the show unappealing was the again, the whole drama thing. Obviously many people love that sort of thing, but that seemed to be the focal point of the show rather than any kind of actual racing. And along those lines, it was hard to take any of that seriously with the ridiculously lame "arm drop" starts.

The show is terrible. It has been from the first episode. People must be watching because speed shows this crap on a nightly basis. I'm guessing its the nascar crowd that is giving it the ratings it needs to survive.

I've only seen it a couple of times, and about the only thing I can remember is the head douche getting on some guys crotch rocket, asking if it was fast, and immediately busting his ass on it in like 30 feet. What a dipshit.
Watched it one time and thought the commercials were more entertaining.

We watched it since the beginning. The original PINKS all out format was at least tolerable. The new format totally sucks. We fast forward through most of the episodes now. Only stop if a car looks like it's worth watching.

I would watch every episode if the show opened with that video.

The View would be more entertaining. And I don't watch that one either.
They all have radios and stuff but every time they do a race they have to "go up to the booth" and then someone has to stand up and give a big "thumbs up" to show the race was "good."
Nah, I got tired of his massive ego! I quit watching when he got on to the racer from OK. for having anti freeze in his car at the Texas Motorplex a couple of years ago, Rich told the he could not race in any other Pinks events. I would have told take his event and shove it.

racecars aren't supposed to run antifreeze. its slick and a pain in the ass to clean when it ends up on the track.

Correct and it is against rules of NHRA but a lot street cars run anti freeze.
In 1992 at Fun Ford Weekend (Texas Motorplex) a friend of mine totaled his 1969 Mustang Mach1 when he hit some anti freeze at the finish line. He was running slicks and crossed the line at 120 mph, the car spun around when he hit the fluid, and he nailed the wall. Car was totaled. He was not hurt and eventually transferred the salvageable parts to another Mustang.

For a long time, we didn't have the Speed Channel on our cable system and I was very excited when it became available. About 10 minutes into the first episode of Pinks and I wanted to:

I despise artificial drama.
