I ate 5 for breakfast after a sunrise swim in the ocean. I swear I could have had more but people were starting to look at me in disgust, especially my wife. Krispy Kremes don't even come close.

Nice area, like the Wrightsville Beach area too. Used to take the ferry over to Southport, then fish off the Holden Pier farther south. Getting crowded down there now.

We go to the beach at Fort Fisher, which is just down from Kure Beach. It is nice and quiet there, a short walk from free public parking, and there are bathrooms and showers right there.

Been there, even entertained the idea of staying on the USAF radar base just above the fort, but those rentals are booked solid way ahead of time.

Spent a good bit of time at the NC Aquarium, neat place.
