View Full Version : YGTBFKM!?!? POTUS says "honor Trayvon"
A punk kid gets presidential mention and a way to honor him. Soldiers have died and barely get a mention. Two ex soldiers die in Benghazi giving their lives protecting our local delegate and don't get the same status as a young thug wanna be?
I am just shaking my head.
For the people who would be stupid enough to suggest that I am endosring Trayvon's death get lost. It was preventable though and most preventable by Trayvon himself.

8-9k blacks killed per year, mostly by other blacks.
But the one we have to honor is the one killed by a "white"-hispanic who was having his head slammed into the concrete.
So, are we to "Honor Trayvon" by getting high, stealing shit, and getting suspended? Sweet!
Typical of someone of his caliber, an empty suit, no respect for potus, none.

The situation according to Bill;
'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk...
Why you ain't
Where you is
What he drive
Where he stay
Where he work
Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.
Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
In fact, you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.
The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.
These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what??
And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.
I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.
Where were you when he was 2??
Where were you when he was 12??
Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol??
And where is the father?? Or, who is his father?
People putting their clothes on backward, isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?
People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?
Or, are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up?
Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?
What part of Africa did this come from??
We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans. They don't know a thing about Africa .
With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail.
Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.
We have got to take the neighborhood back.
People used to be ashamed. Today, a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players who cannot read.
We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs.
We, as black folks have to do a better job. Someone working at Wal- Mart with seven kids... you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.
We cannot blame the white people any longer.

The whole civil rights threat the DoJ is making against Zimmerman currently is such crap. Civil rights were something that people claim from the State, like the right to vote, to assemble, to petition, to not be discriminated due to age, sex, race, or gender.
They aren't something the State uses to go after citizens for political reasons. Well, apparently it is in this "fundamentally transformed" utopia Obama has created.
Sigh.
The FBI already did a 6-month investigation of Zimmerman, turning over every rock they could to find a scintilla of a shred of evidence that Zimmerman is a racist. They found zero.

I honor Trayvon only because it gave us the chance to see our justice system work correctly despite a liberally biased anti-2nd activist judge and a mob mentality demanding George be found guilty. I honor trayvon because he also helped the Pro-2nd amendment crowd prove a point that we've been advocating all along: People have the right to defend themselves.
Other than that, Trayvon and the POTUS can go **** themselves along with all the other race baiters.

Questions
Will Trayvon's future welfare benefits now be distributed among the rest of those on welfare?
Will the money that would have been spent on his prison meals now be used to feed a needy family?
Will a new religion "Trayvonism" provide a tax shelter for their church?
I am first in with this prediction that his brother or father will get busted for something soon. Mark my words it will happen. It will be done so that they will climb down from their high horses and pull a "Rodney King" moment and ask that we all stop the insanity. In two years no one will give two shitskys about this case or that family and Zimmerman's life will still be a wreck.

Lot of Germans in that part of Missouri. The first vineyard west of the Mississippi was located in Herman (a few miles east of Columbia) and specialized in German-style wines. They still make plenty of wine (just not my style of wine) in that area. Next to Stone Hill Winery is a very decent German restaurant that I wouldn't mind eating at again.

Great area to visit. They have a car show in the fall called "Car show in the park". 2009 was the last year we went, it was their 10th anniversary show. Very Corvette friendly show. The River Citys Cruisers puts on the show and at least one member is over at the CF.
Always stay at a local B&B, had a great time walking around town.
The restaurants name is Vintage Restaurant.
Its built in a former barn/horse stable. I like the Vintage sampler, schnitzel, sauerbraten, and knackwurst. Their sauerkraut is very aromatic and has a great flavor.

Missouri wine is like most non-west coast wines, just OK to meh. But that's my opinion. If you like sweet wines, especially dessert wines, you're golden. The Norton grape makes a passable dry red wine, sorta. It's OK, I've certainly drank a few bottles of it. But the ports they make in Herman are really quite good, so there's that. If you're into ports.

Immigrants yes.
Except people of African descent didn't emigrate here. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but to expect them to just magically become comfortable in the skin of an American, is asking too much.
300 years of slavery, 100 years of Jim Crow and 50 years of an agonizingly slow civil rights movement, on the back of the problems they have with themselves as a people is not something they can just let go. They can't just 'get over it.'
Does that excuse the current epidemic of black racism, the pity party they engage in, or the willing obfuscation of the truth in order to enact some kind of revenge upon The White Man?
No.
But nobody can ignore what has brought us to these things, and to ask an entire race to forgive 400+ years of being put through hell without having a chip on their shoulder is impossible.
I don't have a solution to this, but if we don't recognize the problem, we'll never find one.

Our government has LOST ITS COLLECTIVE MIND !!
Attorney General Eric Holder addressed the shooting death of Trayvon Martin on Monday, his first remarks on the subject since the acquittal of George Zimmerman, the Associated Press reports. Zimmerman was cleared of all charges by a six-woman jury in a Florida court on Saturday evening.
Holder said the death of Martin was the result of "a tragic, unnecessary shooting."
"I want to assure you that the Justice Department will continue to act in a manner that is consistent with the facts and the law," said Holder.
A civil rights case against Zimmerman would have clear hurdles for Justice Department attorneys, reports the AP.
The report says that mounting a federal case against Zimmerman could be tougher than the case the state of Florida made, which concluded Saturday with Zimmerman's acquittal. The Justice Department opened a probe into Martin's death last year, but later stepped aside to allow Florida prosecutors to succeed.
"There are several factual and legal hurdles that federal prosecutors would have to overcome," Alan Vinegrad, the former US Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, told the AP. "They'd have to show not only that the attack was unjustified, but that Mr. Zimmerman attacked Mr. Martin because of his race and because he was using a public facility, the street." For the full story, click here.
According to the Miami Herald, FBI records on the case released last Thursday would further complicate a federal case. FBI documents based on interviews with nearly three dozen people reveal that agents weren't able to determine that racial bias was a motivating factor in the shooting of Trayvon Martin. For the full story, click here.
Finally, White House press secretary Jay Carney on Monday told reporters that President Obama won't involve himself in decisions by the Justice Department on whether to pursue civil rights charges against George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. According to the AP, Carney added that it would be be inappropriate for Obama to express an opinion on how the department deals with Zimmerman. On Sunday, Obama urged "calm reflection" from Americans following Saturday's explosive verdict.

ApexOversteer, I'll concede to a few of your talking points, but it's 2013. It's time to move on.
But nobody can ignore what has brought us to these things, and to ask an entire race to forgive 400+ years of being put through hell without having a chip on their shoulder is impossible
If you (or more accurately, they) choose to live their lives with a chip on their shoulder and not take advantage of all the things this country has done and continues to do for the black man, they're fools.

I totally agree. It has to come from both sides, but I can't do anything about their side, I can only do something about me and share my thoughts in the hope that any one that hears or reads me finds a kernel of truth for themselves.
Its not that I'm better than anyone else, or feel I'm smarter. It's that I look into the future of this country and shit gets scary, real fast. We need to start putting real ideas on the table, quick.

I'm not sure we need any new ideas. What happened to the idea you make your own way and create your own opportunities? Somewhere, somehow, that message got lost in the din of hate.

Those w/who get the megaphone of the media have no interest in "real ideas".
You're right. I agree 100%.
So... what do we do? Because what we're doing now isn't working.
There has to be a middle ground, somewhere. We won't find it if we keep pointing at the chasm and blaming each other for how deep it is.

Speaking as someone who vividly remembers the racial strife of the 50s and 60s in this country, all I can say is that some incredibly ****ed up things were done to people in this country's history, and yes, before it. We will live with that legacy for as long as we are on this earth, like it or not, guilty or not. My 60 year perspective puts the current situation far down the scale from what I saw as a child, albeit still intolerable.

We need to get back to working for what you earn. Totally free handouts do nothing except create the opportunity for freeloading instead of the "helping hand" the programs were originally designed for.

As a white guy, my opinion is we do nothing. We can't keep saying "Gee, sorry" for eternity.
If I were a offering my opinion to the black community, I'd say this: Choose your spokespeople with great care. Stop with the division between races when you speak. Stop treating yourself like a minority. You are American citizens, just like I am. (Although I don't know how you folks manage with that hair. It would drive me batshit crazy)
I'm pretty liberal leaning about many things, but this isn't one of them.
I had a bag of skittles today....does that count?

What happened? Same thing that happened to Communism. We held on to that ideal so tightly and so long, we didn't realize that we had squeezed those ideals into goo and what we are left with is this.
Ideals are like pet tigers. We have to feed them, help them grow, but maintain the vigilance against them eating us alive and shitting us out.

U said it better than I would have, but then again, I"m a 'child' of the riot generation, from '68 through '74?......
ALL brought on by JFK/LBJ and the 60's crap.....
and being paid for since then by the working classes.....

JFK wasn't HALF the liberal Bobby was. As for Lyndon, we was a little busy with Vietnam to have much of a domestic policy.

My perspective, and I'm a little younger than Mrvette and a little older than Thomas, is that the pot really got stirred by banning segregation. I'm talking about court decisions in the 50s. People then saw forced integration about the same way people now would see being forced to marry a same sex partner. It's hard to imagine today, but people genuinely did not want to share the same air with people of another race.
I have to disagree with you, Thomas about LBJ. I think he felt he inherited a vigorous civil rights legacy from JFK and worked hard to carry it out. I do agree that RFK was far more liberal than JFK. If you want to assume he would have been elected president, you could argue his assassination changed things more than JFK's did.

BULLCRAP!!!! JFK put forth in congress, all the liberal/communist great society shit, but it went NOwhere, because the Southern DOmocraps and the Republicans would have nothing to do with it.....
SO, the plot by the PROGRESSIVES was that JFK had to go, to garner sympathy for his communist agenda, LBJ was crooked as a snake in the grass for decades, and so they paid him off to get the JFK crap through CONNgress.....And made a killing off it.....
THAT is how they turned the Do Mo Crap party into a winner, and it's gotten much worse over the decades....the commies have WON, .....
only thing to do NOW is kill off the Do Mo Craps, to a man.....TAKE back the public schools, fire the 'administrators' and 'teachers' and hire a whole new contingent.....I was educated by communists in grade school, and they openly BRAGGED about it.....how about THAT shit???
I LIVED IT, in the town, NO DAMN HISTORIAN is able to refute my memory on this shit, it's a ONE HORSE TOWN, I remember FAR more of the inside street level crooked crap than any possible HISTORIAN will EVER know,
Don't anyone tell me about DC poly ticks.....I know more than you...period....
from about age 12 or so in '56 up to present, I was hoisted on shoulder to see the Eisenhower inauguration in '53.....age ten, soon enough age 11.....
about the age soon enough to recognize where we lived, and the unique one horse town, ......and some personal recollections of the crooks in CONNgress, and some vague stories from friends through the decades there....40 cognitive years....:issues::issues:

Even Johnson's Great Society was a JFK holdover. But I still think LBJ was increasingly occupied with Vietnam to really push his domestic agenda. Which wasn't really HIS agenda to begin with as you stated.
Johnson himself said it. If he focused on Vietnam, his domestic agenda would flop. If he focused on the domestic agenda, and ignore Vietnam he would be seen as weak on Communism. He inherited a gigantic pile of steaming dung either way.

Black on black crime started when blacks sold blacks to the slave traders. If there is ANY chip to be on ANY shoulder, it needs to be within their race.

While that may or may not be true, using the "But he did it first!" argument falls flat on its face. It also plays right into the blame culture we all need to put behind us.

It is a stronger argument than "You're great great grand-daddy did it to me, so I'm taking it out on YOU.
Truth could very well be that THEIR OWN great great grand-daddy was an active participant in the slave trade.
It's always so easy to make negative assumptions and so hard to make positive ones.
