I'm almost to a point of being able to be organized. My tools are everywhere, and the place is a total mess. Once this corner is done, I'll really be able to go to town, my tools and building components will be stored where they are supposed to be.
Today was a sweat box with the humidity at 84%...:ack:
I positioned the electric boxes, wired them, insulated the wall, sheathed it with 3/4" plywood, and covered that with aromatic tongue & groove cedar that I had in the rafters. I moved the base cabinets over too. Now I just need to move my massive work bench with the vise where the other work bench is, but I need a guy to help with that. I gotta paint the cabinets too.
Oh well, here's some pics.

Looks pretty good. No "master of invention" to move the table yourself?

I moved it to where it is, so I'll give it a try tomorrow.
I moved the base cabinets 50' today, and they kicked my 49 year old ass.
I was done at that point though, but I just wanted to get them over there.

Just make sure you don't break your 49 year old ass. You don't heal as fast as you used to :yesnod:
I, uhh, read that in a book :leaving:

It's getting to look clean and nicer,Jeff. :cert: Are you going to insulate it and have any type of temperature control?

Ya, tell me about it.
My AC joint in my right shoulder is messed up, and my right knee is sub-par. Pushing and pulling aren't as easy as they used to be.
Oh well, gotta keep going.
All work, ain't it? :D Looking good. :seasix:

I'll continue down the back wall from the window. I'm going to sheath it with 3/8" plywood. I'll then build a room which will be insulated and heated for storage. The rest of the barn would be impossible to heat unless I compartmentalize it, which I don't want to do. The ceiling is cut out to accommodate an RV, so the heat would go into the loft.

Ya, it's a bitch but it's so satisfying. I love doing it.
It sure beats fixing up rental properties.

Looking good! Do you have any security concerns with all those windows and people being able to see in no problem?

Thanks Bud.. Where you been?
I'll probably put blinds on the windows after the dust settles.
It sure beats how it originally looked.

Looking good Jeff:cert:
Although I'm trying to figure out why you didn't paint that section white.
Not that you'd want to paint over cedar, but you could use that elsewhere I'm sure.
Did you want to keep the look that it was an old door maybe?

I'm glad that you mentioned that Scott. I'll probably paint it, now that you said something. It usually takes me a while of looking at something to make a decision. I probably would have come to that conclusion in a few days.:D

I remember you had a thread a few weeks back about whether to paint or stain something in your barn. :datawiz:
I normally look back at projects and addend them as I go. Some folks have a complete and detailed plan and never stray from it.
I find that some of my best results come from being able to alter things as I go.
The theater room has been like that as well. I'll post some update pics soon now that the new carpet is in.
