every once in a while my FireFox browser comes up with a softer door bell chime....HI/LO sound in the speakers, I just setting here silent reading....

not related to any email, so what gives?? I have Norton .....but can't find anything there about any invasion alerts....

ATT.com is the ISP....

Could be a Norton plugin working with Firefox. Or another plugin. Or notification updates are ready/done.

FYI, Norton sucks uninstall that POS.

Well McAfee is the only alternate I know of, and wife likes Norton better, but I dunno why....:dance:

I just asked wife, she sez one of her machines is Norton and the other McAfee.....she feels both are the same, ambidextrous.....

how about that shit, I spelled ambidextrous correctly without speel check....

Another good program is ESET NO32, and Norton is a POS.

Yeh, that's one of the tabs open, keeping up with the kids and my olde tyme home town crew....Bethesda Chevy Chase from Back In the Day....something like that.....olde tyme haunts and hangouts....even poly ticks sometimes....

so you think that when someone posts THERE, it sends an alert to me??

I would have NEVER guessed.....thanks, you probably right, nuttin else makes sense.....here I wuz considered a top tech in the DC area at one time, today I dunno nuttin/.....:slap::issues:

In Facebook, go to the upper right corner click "Home"

Click "Notifications"

Turn notifications "off"

Cancel FB account.
Uninstall Norton / Install AVG.
