Your right, I didnt notice the thing at the foot. I bet they put him on blankets because if he lays right on the vinyl the sweat would cause him to slide right off the end. Im sure hes a nice guy though.

You would be correct. I call them big girl/boy beds. They are electric and can be positioned into a chair position. Some of the beds you put in the patient rooms then pull out the sides to make the bed bigger. The hospital I work built new additions with lifts in the ceiling. It is nothing to have patients well over 300lbs these days and that is considered tiny. The highest weight to date sits at over 1200 lbs. They had to have people from every dept on a rotating schedule help turn him every two hours because the ICU nurses were all getting hurt. It took eight people to turn him and he was only 34-- didn't live to 35.
