There was wild lightning and thunder, with torrential rain, in Pittsburgh yesterday. No tornados, though.

It looks like SC is getting it worse than you.
It looks clear in GA.
Stay safe if I'm reading it wrong though...

Getting hit here in SW Indiana too. I live 1 block from the warning siren. That thing is obnoxious.

The SW part of the state and Kentucky got pounded. Lots of flooding.

Oh, the radar that appeared in the link was for Georgia, so I though that's where you were.

Storms cause flash flooding, damage, outages across area

UPDATED 9:03 AM EDT Jun 27, 2013

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Many could hear the thunder and rain late into the night Wednesday night.

WLKY has received several reports into the newsroom of flash flooding and tree limbs and debris in the roadway.

At Frankfort Avenue and East Washington Street, a car became stuck in the water.

Anyone crossing flooded areas should seek a different route.

In southern Indiana, a huge tree fell into the road.

It happened near South Penn Street, blocking cars from getting by until about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The storm took its toll on people there who are getting ready for this weekend's race event, causing flooding at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta.

Power is back on for most people left in the dark during the storms.

At one point, 8,000 customers were without power in Jefferson, Floyd and Clark counties.

LG&E now reports less than 100 outages in metro Louisville.

About 300 LG&E customers are without power in Green, Hardin, Hart, Larue, Marion, Nelson and Taylor counties.

Duke Energy is reporting about 500 power outages in all of Indiana, and only a handful in Clark and Floyd counties.

Hellaciously vivid and close lightning, too. Buddy of mine at Fort Knox where I work copped this photo from his back porch in Vine Grove, Ky., about 30 miles south of Louisville.

Wild ride in SW Indiana this week so far. We got hit with over 3 inches of rain on Monday and then slammed with 1.5 inches last night. The rain came in about a half hour time. A friend lives over near Newburgh, IN got over 6 inches of rain. His rain gauge was overflowing.
The area around I-164 was floating. The Lowes store looked like an island with all the water.
The storm last night had some crazy lightning in it.

Man, they called for hail here today at like 1 p.m. We towed every freakin' jet that we could hangar into one. It finally looks like we are going to get a thunderstorm and it's almost 7 p.m. Looks worse towards Macon.

We have been fortunate that all the storms take the worst around us.

We live in Southern IL just across the river from STL but have been in New Mexico since Saturday. My phone had gone off every day with either severe thunderstorm warnings or flash flooding alerts from the Weather Channel.

Talked to a guy here today...they are in the worst drought in well over 100 years...less than one inch of rain since July 1 2012! They are talking about the Rio Grande running dry! I looked at the river today and it looks more like a creek where I come from

Ok, I get it. You lived in WR for a week when you were 8. I bet you even always took the bypass around Macon. :D In your defense, Macon has evolved into a cesspool over the last 30 years. Warner Robins will get there in a few years I'm afraid.
