Anyone else catching this new show? Don't see it going more than one season.

I know I didn't watch it...didn't even hear about it until ten minutes before it came on.

I DVRd it. I was hoping it was the next 'Lost'.

It’s kind of looking like it can be. I never got into Lost that much. Would watch it every once and a while. The Wife never missed a show

Didn't peep it's but it's essentially just a warmed-over The Outer Limits episode called "Feasibility Study" (1997).

Saw it. Has potential.

Funny people mention Lost, it has the guy who played Frank Lapidus in it.

Of course his fate is in the air since it appears his pace maker blew up after touching the dome. :willy: :funny:

I saw him in the commercial, maybe thats why Im hoping it follows in the same footsteps.

It may have been better if they explained who was behind the dome and maybe why.

I thought there was a spoiler tag, I was going to answer this based on how the book ended. FWIW, I enjoyed the book.

Does King bust a cameo appearance in the series as he's done in past TV and big screen movies?

Bump - Now that we are 3 weeks into it, must say I am liking it - yes it differs from the book, but kinda figured it would especially with the hope it could go more than one season.

What's everyone thoughts?

I think it's only meant to go 13 episodes. Sort of a long mini-series.

Been watching "Longmire" opposite of "Dome", Longmire seems to be gritty and some good story lines, not as good as a "Justified", but passable.

I watch Longmire, and record DOME...

Dome has potential, I really like the direction its headed and I hope it gets extended past 13 eps.

Because I like it...it is royally f*cked.

It is meant to continue after Season 1, and those that have read the book can forget it.

***SPOILER HIGHLIGHT TO READ***

They've changed the source of the dome from the book, so all bets are off.

***END SPOILER***

I've peeped the first three eps. Wicked sick when the cow got sliced in half by the force field, the body parts falling from the plane and other horror FXs.

Decent, but it likely won't last. "No Ordinary Family" was pretty hyped, too, then it quickly ran out of gas once everybody started getting superhuman powers.

I guess "Defiance" on SciFi Channel is gone, too? Talk about a show that couldn't make up its mind which direction to go!

Never seen it , but there was a show on BBC that went that way - 1st season was great, second season it seemed to lose it's direction - Primeval :seasix:

Remember NBC's "Person's Unknown" and shit? Now, that one was one quirky show that went down the shitter quickly, too. Ol' girl Daisy Betts (the breakout character) wasn't hard to look at, though.

Reminds me of Sarah Wayne Callies of "The Walking Dead" fame.

At first glance, Theresa thought Natalie Martinez (the deputy chick) was ol' girl Erica Cerra of "Eureka" fame (Joe Lupo).

Jeff Fehey, right?

I like it. Seems interesting enough. The psycho kid keeps you guessing.

Lame of course that they MUST create a separate story line with a lesbian married couple and their adopted daughter. :spdchk:

And they're bi-racial, too. Might as well up the ratings ante to the hilt, right? The nut graph line so far is, "welcome to the 21st century."

Notice Fehey didn't get credits on the third episode. Not even a guest appearance. I'd say that's a pretty good indicator he's done. Always got him and ol' boy Adrian Pasdar mixed up. They look alike to me.

Brave new world. :(

Pacemaker blowing up will do that to a character. :D

Maybe he'll be back later in some flashbacks.
You know those are coming. :funny:

Or they'll start resurrecting the dead characters via alien technology in some sort of trippy-dippy Walking Dead homage.

That would make the show jump the shark rather quickly.

I honestly expect them to do that shit. :leaving:

It's not too shabby. I've been watching it so far.

Defiance will be back June 2014, according to the season finale last week.

Finally watched Mondays episode tonight. I still like it but its moving kind of slow and adding more story lines. Not sure it is the next big thing.

At this point, I'm just hanging on to see if Stephen King'll bust a cameo appearance.

I'm all caught up on Defiance now via Hulu. I understand it better now that I'm deep into it, but I still don't like it as much as "Continuum."
