Thought it may add up to about 200 bucks. By weight, it is $560.

My wifes car needs $800 worth of tires.

We keep our change in a 5 gallon plastic water jug. When it gets 1/2 full we take it out. Usually its around $500-600 dollars.

Bought the chambered exhaust for the C5 about 11 years ago.

The only one I know about is at the local Kroger, and it takes 10%. My bank doesn't charge, but they send it to one of their processing centers to be counted; only then is it credited to your account.

I have one of those old LARGE (3ft.?)milk cans full of change. It would take hand trucks to move the thing. I'll run pennies, nickels, and dimes through the Coinstar. They just aren't worth the hassle to roll. I keep the quarters out. They are easy to carry and spend.

When I get more than a big handful of change on my kitchen counter, I make it a point to start using change when I buy stuff until I get rid of it all. I've got enough clutter in my life without a bunch of change rolling around.

http://thewildinvestor.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/By-CoinStar.gifHuge rip off... stay away from them. 8-10% cost to count depending on what state you are in.

We have a cheap ass coin sorter from Wally World that works just dandy. My wife is a bartender at the O' Club and she brings home about $1000 in change every 6 months or so. When she worked at the NCO club it was considerably more. Officers are some frugal bastards... :hide:

Like Sea Six, my wife and I roll our own. We collect for a year or two, then roll it up, trade it in at most any bank and take the paper bills to go on a nice weekend away. Usually in the $300-500 range. Spare change adds up quick.

I was keeping a small styrofoam cup in the Camaro to dump change in...because sitting in the car made you dump change into the seats/floor boards. I have upgraded to a red solo cup in the new truck...more room. I would imagine that within a 3-5 months, there will be $50ish in there.

A buddy of mine used to throw change on the floor of the backseat of his car. Easily had $100 worth. Then he rolled his car. He doesn't throw change on the floor of the backseat anymore.

I rarely spend change.

Most of my adult life I threw my pennies into an olive crock, one of those masonry ones. But I got tired of moving it with a hand truck after I couldn't lift it anymore. I took it to one of those 10% fee machines a couple of years ago, and there was over 400$ in pennies! :wow:

But they were Canadian pennies. Translates into $4.73 U.S. :D
