Carlisle 2013 ~ Who's Going??

Carlisle 2013 ~ Who's Going?? I'll be drive up from Huntsville, Alabama to attend this years event. I'll be departing Huntsville on Thursday, 22 August, R.O.N. in Virginia Thursday night; on Friday, 23 August drive on into Carlisle. Will stay two nights in Carlisle. On Sunday, 25 August depart Carlisle with another R.O.N in Virginia again. On Monday, 26 August drive on into Huntsville, Alabama. I'm getting too old for all those "One Day" drive all the way trips, LOL ! Plus, this way I get to enjoy the drive, see some of the country and have a good time all at the same time. Anyone else going????

I'm going up on Friday just for the day...dropping doggie off at 'day camp', head up, walk around, shop for parts, etc. Then head back, stop here (http://www.shamrockrestaurant.com/) for dinner, pick up doggie, get home, and :sleep: :lol:

It's a long, hot day usually at Carlisle, so don't forget to use sunblock, bring hats, wear comfortable shoes, and drink plenty of water. :seasix:

I have been at The Shamrock a number of times but not for years. Used to live in Harrisburg PA and had a girl friend who lived in DC. Was a good place to stop at :cert:

In addition to a great meal, they have lots of homemade baked goods and homegrown veggies for sale that are to die for. :yesnod: I plan on hauling back food loot, not just car parts. :rofl: I'd love to have some of their whole grain bread and raisin bread to slice and freeze...it's great in the AM with a little bit of PB. :seasix: Their tomatoes actually taste like tomatoes should. :lol:
