I got a mailer for a free motorcycle test ride, I went in an immobilizer sling

I got a mailer from Yamaha for a free test ride on the their new Bolt

Since the cycle dealer is just down the road from where I do my physical therapy for my shoulder, I went after that. ( my therapists had a good laugh when I said where I was going ).

I walk in, see one of sales guys and say " I'm here for my free test ride on the Bolt". His eyes go directly to the sling and he laughs. He says we have to talk to the other salesman over at the BMW desk.

We go there and the first sales guy says, "He wants to go for his test ride on the Bolt". The other sales guy looks up and without missing a beat says " How 'bout you take out this nice loaded K1600GTL" ( priced at over $25K )

No ride but he signed the card :lol:

The therapists are amazed at the range of motion I have after 5 weeks. I still can't do any weight with the right arm ( per doctors orders ) for at least another week so the attachment graft can fully heal.

I can't wait to get out of this damn immobilizer sling.

Ok, off subject question for the riders here:

Which, in your esteemed opinions, are the best "learn to ride" courses? I have a couple different options here in Tucson, and I really want to learn to ride, but only want to take (pay for) one good course. Something that will give me the endorsement on my license too?

That brought up a memory...when Dad was working his HVAC business, customers wanted to give him all kinds of sheit...on one occasion, it was a yellow Vespa. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
